Principle:

Helicobacter pylori are Gram-negative, microaerophilic bacteria that inhabit various areas of the stomach and duodenum. Helicobacter pylori are the leading cause for chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and stomach cancer. The traditional method to stain Helicobacter pylori is silver nitrate; however, the procedure of using silver nitrate stain is complicated. With BaSo Helicobacter pylori Stain, Helicobacter pylori can be demonstrated clearly with only one bottle of reagent.

Methods:

1. Cut tissue to 4~5μm and deparaffin in distilled water.

2. Place samples in Helicobacter pylori stain for 5~10 minutes.

3. Rinse with water.

4. Air dry, cover with mounting medium and observe microscopically.

 

Expected Results:

Helicobacter pylori…………………Blue.

Erythrocytes………………………..Green.

Background………………………...Blue.
